KIKO Water Eyeshadows

IMG_0467

I’ve been wanting to buy a couple of KIKO’s water eyeshadows for quite some time now but I find their shipping quite expensive to The Netherlands as their products are so cheap. Last week I got a lovely email through saying FREE UPS shipping worldwide! I knew I had to grab some as they were also on sale on their website!

I chose no.200 (Champagne) and no.227 (Light Taupe)

Firstly I just have to say these are SO PIGMENTED it it ridiculous! I picked these up for £4.40 each and the quality is exceptional.

They are very sparkly and have a little bit of fallout but otherwise they are just stunning. They are almost a dupe for MAC’s extra dimension eyeshadows looks-wise.

I also love the little cases they come in, they feel almost high-end with the matt finished black box and little mirror.

They are also paraben free which is a big BONUS on my end 🙂

I definitely recommend these and plan on picking more up in the future!

Have you ever tried anything from KIKO? I would love to know!

A Little Beauty Haul

IMG_0277

We popped into the city yesterday (Sunday) and I had a couple of things in the back of my mind that I wanted to pick up if I had the chance. We were mainly going into The Hague to pick up a couple of bits for Finn – and we did find what we needed but I couldn’t help but pick up these bits for myself:

Essence :: Cinderella Range :: Spring 2015

IMG_0155

I cannot tell you how excited I was when I heard back in February that Essence would be bringing out their own variation in the Cinderella makeup range. I made the conscientious decision not to buy any of the MAC Cinderella makeup as it was just too expensive for me at that time, as beautiful as it was…

Korean Beauty Haul from BeautynetKorea

I am now starting to think that ordering my first Memebox was a bad idea. It has sparked a love inside of me for cute Kawaii-styled Korean cosmetics…. Fortunately (well, depending what you order) they aren’t very expensive and the products are great!

I took to a new Facebook group that I joined called Memebox Addicts and asked them for recommendations on websites to use for first-time buyers. I had tried googling and I just didn’t trust the sites I found. I certainly don’t understand Korean and I didn’t want to use the likes of Ebay.

I was recommended a site called BeautynetKorea <– click for the link. I felt comfortable buying from a website multiple people had recommended and used before.

In total my order came to $64.80/£41.18/€52.26 which (for what I got) I thought was a bargain! The website also offers discounts to members (all you have to do is make an account on their site) and offers a point system too so you can get money off future orders.

The delivery can take anytime between 10 and 30 days. I ordered on 1st December and received my package today (17th Dec) so 16 days isn’t bad for free postage from Korea in my opinion.

The Body Shop Nail Event – 01.10.14

Wednesday was proving to be a bit of a spendy evening. I received an email to go along to The Body Shop in The Hague and attend their nail event in celebration of their new nail varnish range being released.

I cheered at the thought of an excuse to go into the city for a couple of hours in the evening, being a mum to a 10 month old, it’s not something I can do very often.

The actual location of The Body Shop in The Hague (or Den Haag if you’re Dutch!) is in a beautiful covered walkway of shops called ‘The Passage’. I always enjoy walking through The Passage as it actually reminds me a lot of London.

HEMA Stationery Haul (Just a small one!)

DSC_3930

Anyone that has known me for a while knows that I have a weakness when it comes to stationery… Especially if it’s cute or pretty, I want need it.

HEMA is one of my favourite stores here in the Netherlands and I often find a good bargain in there compared to the other ‘High Street’ stores (what’s left of them).

We had a nice trip to the Megastores shopping centre today in Den Haag and there is a very small HEMA there; so I thought I would pop in a check out their stationery section. You can never have too many notepads right?!

The first thing that caught my eye was this gorgeous little ‘notepad’ covered in a flowery fabric with a pink elastic holding it together.

When you open it up it has two little notepads inside a ‘to do’ notepad and a ‘notes’ notepad.

Now i’d be lying if I didn’t mention that it was the ‘blog’ bit on the cover that didn’t help draw me to this little find.

It cost €2.95 and is available here if you live in the Netherlands and here if you live in the UK. (It’s £3 in the UK).

The next thing that caught my eye was a cute little sticky note book – ‘A book with assorted sticky notes’.

I love sticky notes – I use them a lot for my work; plus these were just really pretty and right up my street!

This little gem only cost €1.95 and is available here in the Netherlands and here in the UK. (It’s £2.50 in the UK).

Believe me there was a lot more that I wanted to buy; but I was quite restrained and I could tell Mike was raising his eyebrows when I was looking at all the lovely bits to choose from. I guess i’ll just have to go back without him!

I hope you like my very mini HEMA stationery haul. Have you had any successful stationery hauls recently? I’d love to know!

H&M Fall Baby Haul #1

IMG_2941

(Finn looks like he has a MASSIVE forehead in this picture! He doesn’t; it’s just the angle I promise!)

It’s my favourite time of the year; Autumn!
Except now the sun is shining and it’s back to wearing shorts again 😦

Having a baby means getting to buy cute new clothes all the time and spending lots of money on them! I don’t often go clothes shopping; and if I do, it’s only for Finn really! I find it quite therapeutic, but Michael hates it as I always end up buying way too much and spending more money than I should do.

I managed to restrain myself this time and only bought a couple of things…

We went to H&M as they have a great valued ‘basics’ range, and to be honest, Finn grows so fast we really have to try to save money where we can. He was in desperate need of some trousers (leggings, joggers etc) there’s going to be a day soon where he can’t wear shorts anymore…

DSC_3898

We picked up two pairs of leggings – one in dark grey and the other pair is navy and white striped. I wanted some leggings as he doesn’t necessarily need to wear joggers or thick trousers in the house.
I also picked out a nice pair of dark charcoaly grey joggers for him, I think he looks really nice in grey!
In total we paid €10 for the 3 pairs of trousers; they were €4.99 each and it was 3 for 2!

DSC_3899

The next things we picked up was a 2 pack of long-sleeved shirts. Naturally I was drawn to these as they have Mickey Mouse all over them. It was €11.99 for the pair, which I don’t think is too bad as I think he will get a lot of use out of these.
We also got the clothes in a much bigger size so hopefully they will see him through till the end of the year.

Things we still need to get:

1. Socks
2. Hat, Scarf & Gloves
3. A few more pairs of trousers; maybe some jeans!
4. A jumper or two

I hope you liked my short Finn Fall haul; there will be some more on the way soon 🙂
